Balance Box
The box is delivered before 6am on Monday, inside it are meals for the following four days: healthy and delicious snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked by a team of chefs and nutritionists.
If you have been following me for some time you might know that I love cooking, but I confess that having received this box this week was the best thing that could have happened to me.
The last few weeks have been intensive workwise (I'll share more about what's happening as soon as I'm allowed to) and therefore not having to worry about cooking my meals was ideal.
I am of the opinion that the secret of healthy eating is in planning, otherwise we end up eating when we are out and about, making worse choices and spending a lot more money.
Balance Box provides the ideal service for those who have little time to dedicate themselves to the planning and preparation of their meals or simply for those who don't like to cook and want to eat healthily.
Balance Box provides two menus: "Ligther menu plan" and "Market menu plan". The first is appropriate for those trying to lose weight while the second is ideal for who's looking for a bit more sustenance. Vegetarian or wheat free menus are also available.
"Convenience" and "taste" are the two words that best describe Balance Box. Finding a service that provides both healthy, convenient and tasty food is extremely difficult but Balance Box does it wonderfully well.
It's true that services of this kind seem at first a bit expensive, but if you live in London and if you eat out a lot you probably end up spending a lot more than what this service costs.
In addition, money spent on eating well is money saved on health. I fully believe that we are what we eat and that eating well prevents future diseases.
I also know that the appealing prices of fast food and the excessive supply of processed products in supermarkets makes it even harder to commit to eating well. That's why companies like Balance Box are so important.
A caixa é entregue durante a madrugada de segunda-feira, dentro da mesma encontram-se refeições para os quatro dias seguintes: pequeno-almoço, almoço, jantar e snacks saudáveis e igualmente deliciosos pré-confeccionados por uma equipa de chefes e nutricionistas.
Quem me segue há algum tempo sabe que adoro cozinhar, mas aqui entre nós confesso que ter recebido esta caixa esta semana foi a melhor coisa que me podia ter acontecido. As últimas semanas têm sido intensas em termos trabalho (assim que puder partilharei mais sobre o que anda a acontecer) e, portanto, não ter de me preocupar com a confecção das minhas refeições foi ideal.
Sou da opinião de que o segredo de uma alimentação saudável está no planeamento, caso contrário acabamos por comer na rua, por fazer escolhas menos boas e por gastar muito mais dinheiro.
A Balance Box fornece o serviço ideal para quem tem pouco tempo para se dedicar ao planeamento e confecção das suas refeições ou simplesmente para quem não gosta muito de cozinhar e pretende comer saudavelmente.
A Balance Box providencia dois menus: “Ligther menu plan” e o “Market menu plan”. O primeiro é apropriado para quem está a tentar perder peso enquanto o segundo é um bocadinho mais completo. Menus vegetarianos ou wheat free estão também disponíveis.

É verdade que serviços do género nos parecem à primeira vista um tanto ou quanto caros, mas feitas as contas se vives em Londres e se comes muito fora provavelmente acabas por gastar muito mais do que o que este serviço custa. Para além disso dinheiro gasto em comer bem é dinheiro que se poupa na saúde. Acredito plenamente que somos o que comemos e que comer bem previne futuras doenças. Bem sei que os preços apelativos do fast food e a dificuldade em resistir à excessiva oferta de produtos processados nos supermercados dificultam a missão de comer bem. Por isso é que empresas como a Balance Box são tão importantes.

I enjoyed all of the dishes but my favourite was the mushroom and thyme soup. I love everything that has mushrooms in, plus they are a great source of protein and antioxidants. Also thyme is a natural antiseptic. During this week I felt always energised, light and satiated. It really is much easier to resist temptations if there's an healthier option available. Thank you for this treat Balance Box.

Gostei muito de todos os pratos mas o meu favorito foi curiosamente a sopa de cogumelos e tomilho. Eu adoro tudo o que tenha cogumelos para além disso são uma óptima fonte de proteína e antioxidantes. Para quem não sabe, o tomilho é um atiséptico natural. Durante esta semana senti-me sempre energética, leve e saciada. Realmente é muito mais fácil resistir a tentações do género se tivermos disponível uma opção mais saudável.
