Uluwatu
Estou só de visita mas sinto-me em casa, aqui sou uma sereia ansiando que o mar me leve. Do cimo da arribas, a ondulação faz com que o mar pareça feito de veludo. A rebentação é, quase sempre, geometricamente prefeita e os que numa prancha deslizam pelos cilindros de água nela formados dizem que este é o seu paraíso.
O sol clareou-me o cabelo e pintou-me a pele de cor-de-canela. Está na hora de voltar para a terra da rainha, mas antes de partir sento-me a ver o sol descer no mar que esfria e evito fechar os olhos para não perder o espectáculo da sua presença. O vento balança as palmeiras, as ondas lambem-me os pés e a brisa da noite sopra-me o cabelo ainda molhado. Descanço minha cabeça no seu ombro, a pele dele sabe a mar e tem cor de pecado. Em silêncio, como que com medo de distrubar a natureza, ficamos a ouvir o Pacífico rugir uma última vez...
I'm just visiting but I feel at home, here I'm a mermaid longing for the sea to take me. From the top of the cliffs, the waves make the ocean look like velvet. The surf is almost always geometrically perfect, and those on a board sliding through the cylinders of water say that this is their paradise.
The sun has made my hair lighter and painted my skin in cinnamon tones. It's time to return to the land of the Queen, but before leaving I must sit and watch the sun go down in the sea that cools. I avoid closing my eyes so that I don't miss the spectacle of his presence. The wind shakes the palm trees, the waves lick my feet and the night breeze blows my damp hair. I lay my head on his shoulder, his skin tastes like the sea and has the colour of sin... We stay in silence, as if we are afraid of disturbing nature, and like this we hear the Pacific roar one last time ...

Onde ficar/where to stay
Boho Bingin Beach Bali (foi aqui que ficámos hospedados e, mais uma vez, fomos recebidos por um português, Francisco Areosa, que nos tratou muito bem. O Boho é super cool, tem uma ambiente muito familiar, e a localização é perfeita./ We stayed here and, once again, we were welcomed by a Portuguese, Francisco Areosa, who treated us very well. Boho is super cool, cozy, everyone is very friendly, and the location is perfect.)
Sal Secret Spot (Também gerido por Portugueses, mesmo ao lado do Boho. / Also managed by Portuguese, next door to Boho).
The inn possible (super em conta e fica mesmo em cima do mar, não vos aconselho a ficar lá a estadia toda porque têm que enfrentar uns dez mil degraus para entrar e sair do hotel, mas vale a pena dormir uma ou duas noites./ Amazing budget option, the hotel is right on the beach, I wouldn't stay there for the whole holiday simply because you have to face about ten thousand steps to get in and out of the hotel but it's worth staying there for one or two nights.)
Suarga Padang Padang (É um hotel mais caro, com uma arquitectura incrível e foi construído de forma sustentável. / This one is more pricey but is architecturally amazing and it's built in a sustainable way which is quite cool).
PRAIA/BEACH
Sundays Beach Club (Depois de andar a saltitar de praia em praia acabei por decidir que esta era a melhor de todas e passei lá a maior parte dos meus dias. Paga-se uma entrada (cerca de 20€) mas metade do valor desse valor é consumível. É, genuinamente, uma das praias mais bonitas que já vi na vida e, para além disso, desce-se numa elevator super cool para lá chegar. Vale muito a pena! / After doing some beach hopping I decided that this was the best of them all and I ended up spending most of my days in there. There is an entrance fee (around £17), but half the fee is consumable. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my life plus you'll have to take a super cool lift to get there. Well worth it!)
Bingin Beach (Passem lá o dia, comam uma taça de pitaya no Kellys Warung e esperem pelo pôr-do-sol. Quando a noite chega são montadas mesas na praia onde é servido o peixe do dia com arroz balinês e vegetais salteados. Foi o meu jantar preferido em Bali! P.s: leva uma lanterna porque não há luz nenhuma a iluminar o caminho de saída da praia. / Spend the day there, have a pitaya bowl in a little restaurant called Kellys Warung and wait for the sunset. When night comes, tables are set up on the beach where catch of the day is served with Balinese rice and sautéed vegetables. It was my favorite dinner in Bali! P.s: Take a torch with you because it's hard to find your way out of the beach in the darkness.)
St Thomas Beach (Quase sempre vazia, difícil de encontrar. / Almost always empty, hard to find.)
Balangan beach (Boa para surfistas. / Good for surfers.)
Padang Padang (Está sempre cheia, é a praia mais turística. / always busy.)
Nusa Dua (Muito grande e vazia, mas não tem a melhor vibe porque há muitos resorts enormes pelo areal. / Big and empty but it hasn't got the best vibe, there are massive all inclusive resorts along the beach.)
Green Bowl Beach (pequenina mas muito bonita, cuidado com os macacos eles tendem a brincar com os nossos pertences. / Tiny but beautiful, watch out for the monkeys they might want to play with your belongings.)
RESTAURANTES/RESTAURANTS
Drifter (O meu pequeno almoço favorito, fui lá quatro vezes e comi sempre a mesma coisa: panquecas! São incríveis. Obrigada Jessica Athayde pela dica! /My favorite breakfast, I went there four times and always ate the same thing: pancakes. Thanks Jessica Athayde for the tip!)
Bukit Cafe (Comida super saudável, óptimo para qualquer refeição. / Healhty food, great for any time of the day.)
El Kabron (Restaurante espanhol, óptimo spot para se ver o pôr-do-sol, tens de fazer reserva. / Spanish restaurant, great spot to watch the sunset, you must book it in advance)
Single Fin (Vai a um domingo, vê o sunset e fica para a festa. A comida não é a melhor mas a vista e a vibe são incríveis./Go on a Sunday, watch the sunset and stay for the party. Food isn't great but the view and the vibe are amazing.)
Dugong (Um bocadinho mais caro, óptimo para um jantar mais especial./A bit pricey, great for a special dinner.)
The Warung (Lindo, tens de fazer reserva, óptimo para ocasiões mais especiais. / It's beautiful, you must book, great for special occasions as well.)
DESPORTO/SPORTS
The Cashew tree - Aulas de Yoga dadas por uma professora Alemã muito boa que se chama Pilou. Às terças e quintas pelas 7:30 da manhã há também umas aulas de muay thai muito divertidas . / Has a really good yoga teacher, she is called Pilou. Also on tuesday and thursday there are some incredibly fun muay thai classes at 7:30am.
