Lots of Springs looks
London is so much more beautiful during this time of year. Londoners occupy benches with their lunch boxes; all the parks are filled with people who read, run, listen to music or sunbathe; and pubs fatten in customers who, after a long day of work, find pleasure in a couple of beers outdoors with their mates. Today I'm sharing with you a post that covers a few outfits that have been living in my wardrobe anxiously waiting for the sunshine.
I photographed this Maurie Eve look at home using a tablecloth as my background, yap a tablecloth! The jumpsuit’s fabric is so comfortable. I love how oversized and relaxed it is, it's one of those items I know I'll wear over and over again. I love a one-piece, especially when travelling, it’s a no-brainer, it never lets you down and makes packing so much easier. Maurie Eve, Faithfull The Brand and Réalisation Par are some of my favourite brands when it comes to casual summer clothing.
Londres é tão mais bonita durante esta altura do ano. Os Londoners ocupam os bancos de rua com a sua marmita durante a hora almoço; os parques e jardins enchem-se de gente que neles se estende a ler, a ouvir música ou a namorar; e os pubs engordam em fregueses que, depois de um longo dia de trabalho, encontram numa cerveja ao ar livre com os amigos a merecida descontração. Hoje partilho convosco um post com alguns dos outfits que têm morado no meu guarda-fatos ansiosamente esperando pelo calor.
Fotografei este macacão da Maurie Eve em casa com uma toalha de mesa por trás para criar o fundo preto, sim uma toalha de mesa! O tecido do jumpsuit é do mais confortável que há e eu adoro o seu estilo relaxado e oversized. Não há nada como um one piece, especialmente quando se viaja. É o tipo de peça que nunca desaponta e que simplifica bastante o processo de fazer as malas. Maurie Eve, Faithfull The Brand e Réalisation Par são algumas das minhas marcas preferidas no que toca a roupa descontraída de verão.
This Ganni trench coat is one of my favourite pieces at the moment. Although warmer, London’s weather is always a bit unpredictable, so this kind of lighter-weight coats are always useful. Even though minimal, this is a statement piece. The independent pockets on the belt and the overlap of fabrics are what makes this design so so so special!
Also, lately I have been wearing these white Topshop jeans all the time. With all my jeans, I like to fray the ends with the help of a grater. Since I am very tall, it's hard to find jeans to which I can do that without getting them too short. I bought these in the Tall section of Topshop and they are just the perfect length!
Este trench da Ganni é uma das minhas peças preferidas de momento. Apesar de estar mais calorzinho, Londres é sempre meio imprevisível no que toca à meteorologia portanto este tipo de casacos com um tecido mais leve são sempre úteis. Ainda que minimalista, esta é uma statement piece. São os bolsos independentes e a sobreposição dos tecidos que a tornam tão especial.
Tenho usado estas jeans brancas da Topshop com muita frequência. Em todas as calças de ganga que eu possuo crio, com a ajuda de um ralador, fiozinhos na bainha. Como eu sou muito alta, tenho dificuldade em encontrar calças em que possa fazer isto sem que fiquem demasiado curtas. Comprei estas na secção tall da Topshop e o seu comprimento é perfeito!
I don't usually wear coordinates, but this spring I fell in love with the two that follow. They work very well when worn separately as well. These romantic and feminine patterns say one thing only: Summer! Even in London, when I wear them I feel that I am somewhere in southern Europe. As far as I know, no one has invented teleportation yet, but I must say that clothes do have a similar capacity. I love that fashion has the ability to influence my mood, my confidence or even the way I move. Nowadays, for me, fashion is fashionable on all different levels. There is no right or wrong, and that is very liberating. In fact my boyfriend, Martin, just worked on a campaign for Zalando which protrays that same idea. Não sou muito de comprar conjuntinhos, mas esta primavera apaixonei-me pelos dois que se seguem que também funcionam muito bem quando usados separadamente. Os padrões românticos e femininos dizem uma coisa apenas: Verão! Mesmo em Londres, quando os visto sinto que estou algures no sul da Europa. Ainda não existe o poder do teletransporte, mas vestir este tipo de roupas tem um efeito deveras semelhante. Eu adoro esta capacidade que a moda tem de influenciar o meu estado de espírito, a minha confiança ou até a forma como me movimento. Nos dias de hoje, para mim, já não existe a expressão “estar na moda”, não há um certo ou errado, e isso é muito libertador. Aliás o meu namorado, Martin, acabou de fazer uma campanha para a Zalando cuja mensagem é essa mesmo. Como namorada orgulhosa vou deixar aqui o link para poderem espreitar.
