NA-KD
There are several posts in my drafts waiting to be shared with you but I just haven't had the opportunity yet to give them the attention they deserve. Forgive me my absence but it's for a good reason, I'm doing what I like the most, I'm shooting a film!
Those of you who only got to know me since the blog started maybe don't know about my acting background, in fact I started this blog because in this industry, and especially in a big city like London, you end up going through long waiting periods where nothing happens. Although very tired I am so grateful to have the opportunity to do what really makes me happy!
In addition to the news related to the film I wanted to tell you that I have been trying to explore my creativity and create content in new formats for the blog, namely in video. I can't imagine myself starting Vlogging, in fact, I get way more nervous when talking to a camera as Catarina than as whatever character I'm playing. But still, I want to start exploring new ways of communicating and expressing myself.
With the help of my friend Catarina Rodrigues, who also lives in London, I made this little video that I'm sharing with you. Catarina helped me getting in touch with the people at Nine Lives Bar who were kind enough to let us film in their space. This place has super cool decor that kind of follows a boho vibe which sets it apart from most of the bars I know in London. It's funny that through these small projects I end up discovering places like this. I feel that despite the huge offer that exists in London, it's difficult to find non pretentious but still stylish bars. I promise to return so that I can enjoy it in another context.
This short 40-second video combines four casual, super fun and relaxed looks put together with clothes from one of my favourite budget brands, NA-KD. I'm also sharing some photos in order to allow you to see the looks and the decor of the bar in more detail.
Tenho vários posts que quero muito partilhar convosco mas para os quais não tido a oportunidade de lhes dar a atenção devida. Perdoem-me a ausência mas é por uma boa razão, estou a fazer o que mais gosto, um filme! Quem me conhece somente desde que o blog começou talvez desconheça o facto de ser actriz, aliás comecei este blog porque nesta indústria, e especialmente no estrangeiro, passa-se por longos períodos de espera onde nada acontece. Apesar de muito cansada estou muito grata poder ter a oportunidade de fazer o que mais me faz feliz!
Para além das novidades relacionadas com o filme queria dizer-vos que tenho tentado explorar a minha criatividade e criar conteúdos em novos formatos para o blog, nomeadamente em vídeo. Não me imagino a começar a fazer Vlogs, aliás deixa-me muito mais nervosa falar para uma câmera em modo Catarina do que em personagem. Mas ainda assim quis começar a explorar novas formas de comunicar.
Com a ajuda da minha amiga Catarina Rodrigues, que também vive em Londres, fiz este pequeno vídeo que aqui vos apresento. A Catarina ajudou-me a entrar em contacto com os responsáveis pelo Nine Lives Bar que tiveram a gentileza de nos deixar filmar no seu espaço cuja decoração segue uma vibe super boho e que se distingue da maioria dos bares que conheço em Londres. É engraçado que através destes pequenos projectos acabe por descobrir sítios como este. Eu sinto que apesar da imensa oferta que existe em Londres, há dificuldade em encontrar bares menos pretensiosos e com pinta que não sejam pubs. Fica aqui feita a promessa de voltar para podes desfrutar do espaço noutro contexto.
