FILM DIARY - JUNE 2020
I didn't publish a film diary in May because, in addition to being grounded, not much happened. Despite liking my own space a lot, it was difficult to feel inspired by the monotony of days and the sameness of my environment. So here is my June where things gradually started to transition into this new normal.
Não publiquei o meu film diary em Maio porque, para além de estar fechada em casa, não se passou grande coisa. Apesar de gostar muito do meu espaço, foi difícil sentir-me inspirada na monotonia dos dias e sensaboria do meu ambiente. Por isso, aqui está o meu mês de Junho que documenta uma transição gradual para esta nova normalidade.

Having time to read has been the best part of lockdown. / Ter tempo para ler tem sido a melhor parte desta quarentena.
And Ripley gets bigger and bigger, here is him at 6 months old. / E o Ripley está cada vez maior, aqui está ele aos 6 meses de idade.

I love this vintage car that is always parked near our house. I never wanted to have a car so badly, since I’m still quite nervous about going on public transport, that would allow us to go to the country side to get some fresh air and go on nice dog walks. / Adoro este carro vintage que se encontra sempre estacionado perto de nossa casa. Nunca quis eu tanto ter um carro. Já que ainda me sinto nervosa a andar de transporter públicos, de carro poderíamos ir até ao campo, apanhar ar puro e dar longos passeios com o cão.

Here are some film photos of my friend Lucy, artist and illustrator, on her natural habitat, the studio. Lucy’s home was the first place I visited outside of my neighbourhood after 3 months in lockdown. / Aqui estão algumas fotos da minha amiga Lucy, artista e ilustradora, no seu habitat natural, o estúdio. A casa da Lucy foi o primeiro local que visitei fora da minha casa/bairro depois de mais de três meses em lockdown.

Our home is forever in construction. This is a bedroom which is still empty and I currently use as a photography studio. Also, notice the new Murano vintage lamp that I bought here. It’s going to look wonderful in our bedroom. / A nossa casa será para sempre um processo em construção. Este é um quarto que ainda está vazio e que actualmente uso como estúdio de fotografia. Notem o meu novo candeeiro, um Murano vintage que comprei aqui, vai ficar lindo no nosso quartinho.
