Martin and I don't celebrate Valentine's for one simple reason: we don't like being told what to do and when to celebrate our love. Receiving flowers or going for a meal in a fancy restaurant on February 14 isn't what makes me feel loved. In a long-term relationship love ends up manifesting itself in the little things: in the tea he makes in the morning, in the text message saying "Did you arrive ok?", etc. Although I don't celebrate Valentine's Day I do love a romantic date, after all I'm a crab!! I don't even know if I believe in the zodiac but the truth is that I always refer to astrology to justify how cheesy I am (oops!). What about you, do you usually celebrate this occasion?

Eu e o Martin não celebramos esta data por uma simples razão: não gostamos que nos imponham uma data para celebrar o nosso amor. Não é o acto de receber flores ou ir jantar fora a um sítio especial no dia 14 de Fevereiro que me faz sentir mais amada, numa relação longa o amor acaba por se manifestar nas pequenas coisas, no chá que ele me faz de manhã, no jantar que espera por mim quando chego tarde, no "chegaste bem?", etc. Ainda que não celebre o dia de S. Valentim adoro um programinha romântico, não fosse eu uma carangueja! Eu nem sei se isto dos signos é realmente verdade mas a verdade é recorro sempre à astrologia para justificar o meu excesso de lamechice. E vocês, costumam festejar esta data?
