My Boys
This post is a tribute to the two males, one hairier than the other, who have put up with me during this period of isolation. The hairiest gives me small love bites on my ankles when I spend too much time on my laptop. He wakes us up at sunrise so that one of us can open the back door with the kind of hands he doesn't have. Both take me for walks, one always holds my hand and the other pulls the leash forcing me to speed up my lazy step. The one with the human face has convinced me to watch all Marvel movies in chronological order, but not before granting me the desire of devouring Normal People. Every night, one snores at my feet and the other, with his head resting on my lap, dreams repeated dreams of a life of freedom.
Este post é um tributo aos dois machos, um mais peludo do que o outro, que me têm aturado durante este período de isolamento. O mais peludo dá-me dentadinhas de amor nos tornozelos quando passo muito tempo ao computador. Acorda-nos ao nascer do sol para que um de nós lhe abra a porta do quintal com as mãos que ele não tem. Ambos me levam a passear, um dá-me a mão e o outro puxa a trela obrigando-me acelerar o passo preguiçoso. O que tem cara de humano convenceu-me a ver por ordem cronológica todos os filmes da Marvel, mas não sem antes me conceder o desejo de ver Normal People. Todas as noites um ressona aos meus pés e o outro, com a cabeça repousada no meu colo, sonha sonhos repetidos de uma vida de liberdade.
